helicopter sea combat squadron (hsc) 23 소속 mh-60s sea hawk 헬기도 지원함에서 항모로 수직물자보급임무를 수행하고 있습니다.

이 함정들은 nimitz carrier strike group 소속으로 5함대 관할해역에 배치되어 아프칸 영구 자유작전을 지원하고 있습니다.

11월 5일 대서양상에서 독일해군 프리깃 hessen (f221)함이 미해군 항공모함 uss dwight d. eisenhower (cvn 69)함으로부터 해상연료보급 작전을 수행중인 모습으로 dwight d. eisenhower항모가 독일함정에 연료를 보급하는 것은 처음있는 일입니다.
