A man and a woman went to their Volkswagen to seek warmth and have sex and they died from carbon monoxide poisoning when they turned on the engine, according to press reports.
The couple was reported to have died in Russia on March 16, the Interfax news agency reported.
Interfax said the car was in a tiny garage and most likely during a moment of "intimate closeness" in the car, they inhaled the gas and died.
Many Russians keep their cars in box-like iron garages near their homes which snugly encase their cars.
